Hot Chocolate is a diverse production, and we look forward to seeing what everyone brings to the table.

We encourage dancers of all styles to audition, including:

• Ballroom/Vogue

• African

Attire:

• Form-fitting dancewear appropriate for your style/technique

• Bring: Ballet shoes, pointe shoes (if applicable), water bottle. resume/headshot if available

Attendance Expectations

Please review the rehearsal schedule before accepting a role.

By accepting a role, cast members are also committing to the rehearsal schedule.

If there are any unavoidable conflicts, they must be communicated before rehearsals begin. This expectation will also be reviewed during the cast meeting.

Performance fees & Artist Compensation​

​

At Revolution Dance Theatre, Hot Chocolate is more than a performance, but a community experience.

Our production is designed to create meaningful opportunities for dancers of all backgrounds to receive high-quality training, work alongside experienced artists, and perform on a professional stage. To help make this experience possible, cast members participating in our community ensemble pay a performance fee of $250 that supports rehearsal space, production costs, costumes, technical elements, and the many resources required to bring the show to life.

At the same time, we believe a thriving arts community depends on artists being valued for their work. Whenever possible, Revolution Dance Theatre contracts and compensates professional performers and creative team members, ensuring that experienced artists have opportunities to continue exercising their craft while mentoring and inspiring the next generation.

By participating in Hot Chocolate, you are helping us build a production that invests in both community access and professional artistry—creating a stronger, more sustainable performing arts ecosystem for everyone.
